Painting in Acrylics / Drawing in Mixed Media
This course is designed for both beginners and experienced students. Students will begin their painting journey with a process that facilitates working in layers, where different skills can be gained with each layer – using a range of techniques. Students will learn how to create an underpainting using an image as a reference point to go beyond this image allowing for more possibilities to manifest in their work. Each student will find more solutions to their painting dilemmas. There will be different exercises that facilitate learning in mainly colour as well as tone, form, texture and composition. Students will learn more about paint consistencies using acrylic mediums and a range of tools. Students are taught how to capitalise on mistakes. Development of personal marks/style is a priority in this course. There will be an experimental part to the term where there is the option of drawing in various media/collage. Landscape, still life, portraiture and personal projects are subject matter.

Classes at Cremorne Point Painting in Acrylics/Drawing in Mixed Media. Classes are small and conducted in a relaxing and leafy environment.
Wednesday: 10.30am – 2.30pm beginning Wed 20th Oct. 2021.
Thursday: 10.30am – 2.30pm ” Thurs 21st Oct. 2021.
Cost: $420 for 9 weeks.

Monday: 6:30pm – 9:30pm beginning on Mon 25th Oct. 2021.
Tuesday: 9:30am – 12:30pm ” Tues 26th Oct. 2021.
Cost for these classes $390 per term (9 weeks)
Holiday Workshops conducted at Willoughby Arts Centre in Willoughby.
