1949 Born Dunedin, New Zealand
1959 Settled in Australia
1969 Began art modelling at Claremont Art School in WA and continued to use this as a source of income until 1990.
1974-75 Worked as Artist’s model in London and Europe. Travelled through South East Asia, India, Europe and North Africa.
1973-87 Training in Personal development – Psychodrama, Gestalt, Recihian, Re-birthing, Primal Therapies and Voice Dialogue. Experience in drama, dance and clown workshops – gained extensive therapeutic skills and realized value of self expression through art.
1977 – 1981 Studied with Kai Tai Contemporary Dance Group.
1979 – 1981 Arts Certificate – Hornsby Technical College (NSW).
Diploma in Fine Art – Alexander Mackie School of Art (NSW) – (now College of Fine Arts at NSW University).
1981 – 1982 Took 2 years away from painting to experience various meditation techniques, Art Therapy workshops and live in communes.
1982 – 1983 Returned to Perth and continued study at Claremont School of Art (Diploma in Fine Art
1984 – 1987 Meditation and Inner Journey Workshops in USA.
1986 Expansion with Creative Skills workshops and psychic awareness with trained psychologist.
1987 Accepted by Tax Department as Professional Artist.
1988 Registered business name – Living Art Studios – selling art, teaching art and art modeling.
1987 – 97 Conducted various Mixed Media Paint Workshops privately and at various TAFE Colleges and Art Centres in Perth and Sydney. Teaching painting and drawing as a process rather than result-oriented and facilitating in painting terms an inner dialogue with the subconscious from where true inspiration emerges.
